This spring, the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) will be attending our 46th Annual convention on March 25th - March 31st in San Antonio, Texas. This is a very important conference for our members as it allows us to interview on the spot for full time jobs and/or internships, network with professionals from  a wide range of engineering fields, attend professional workshops, participate in competitions such as a hack-a-thon, and volunteer their time with K-12 students who show interest in STEM fields.

One of the main goals of our organization is to develop our members culturally and professionally. This convention is one that allows our members to showcase our professional skills and develop them further. For this reason we want to take most, if not all, our members to this convention to allow them to get the opportunities previously stated. We have an estimated 20-25 members seeking to attend this convention and to achieve this goal we require help so that this may become reality. The cost of our trip can be broken down into: registration, plane tickets, and hotels for our stay in San Antonio.

In the past we have had NSBE-SIUC members attend the annual convention and leave with full time positions and summer internships offers at places such as: Johnson Controls, Boeing, Visa, General Motors, Ameren, Lockheed Martin, and Dell. The success of our previous members shows there is no end to how much our members can greatly benefit from attending this convention. Through your help you will allow one of our members to achieve their goal and directly make a positive impact on their career and life!
